This explains what The Latest does with personal data. IncreoScale is the controller. You can reach us at support@increoscale.com.
1. What we hold
- Account. Your email address and display name. Sign-in is run by Clerk, which holds the authoritative copy; we keep a copy so we can show your name and contact you.
- Billing. A customer ID and a subscription ID from Polar, and which plan you are on. We never receive or store card details.
- What you publish. Your page name and description, your posts, and the images you upload. This is content you chose to make public.
- Technical records. Ordinary server and network logs created when we serve a request, including IP addresses and user-agent strings. We use these to keep the service running and to deal with abuse.
We do not run advertising, we do not sell personal data, and we do not build profiles of the people who read your pages.
2. Cookies
The admin area at app.thelatest.page sets a session cookie so that you stay signed in. That is the only cookie we set, and it exists because you asked to sign in.
Public pages set no cookies and run no JavaScript. There is no analytics script, no tracking pixel and no third-party embed on a published page. Readers of your page are not tracked.
3. Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare — hosting, storage and content delivery. Data is held on Cloudflare’s network and may be processed in any country where it operates.
- Clerk — accounts and sign-in.
- Polar — payments and subscriptions, as merchant of record.
Each of them handles data on our instructions under their own terms. We do not otherwise share personal data, except where we are legally required to.
4. Why we are allowed to hold it
Account and content data: because we need it to provide the service you asked for. Billing data: because we need it to perform the contract and to meet accounting obligations. Technical records: because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working.
5. How long we keep it
Account and content data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your pages stop being served immediately and the content is removed from our active systems at the same time; backups age out after that. Billing records are kept as long as accounting and tax rules require. Technical logs are short-lived and are not used to identify readers.
6. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to support@increoscale.com and we will respond within one month. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
7. Children
The Latest is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and give notice before a significant change takes effect.
